Hi everyone. Just a reminder of Practice today at 5:00 pm at the Old Townhouse Field (Peter Homer Park). We have been assigned the north field, which is farthest from the parking lot. Also for school vacation week I got the Saturday practice mixed up; we will be practicing on Saturday April 24th, NOT Saturday April 17th. We will still hold practice on Tuesday April 20th, as long as there is sufficient participation. I hope to see most of you soon!

Practice Update
by posted 04/07/2021

Just to keep everyone informed it appears that our practices will be held on Tuesdays from 5-6 pm at the Peter Homer Park complex located at 144 Old Townhouse Road. Our first Tuesday practice will be this coming Tuesday April 13th.

There are two fields on location with plenty of space inbetween the two of them; as of now I am not sure which field we will be assigned but I will get that info out as soon as possible.

Also, as a reminder we will have a field cleanup this Saturday at 9:00 am at the Provencher field complex where our initial practice took place; one guardian from each player is urged to attend; players & children should not attend.

Please check your email for a 20% off coupon for the Dick's Sporting Goods in Hyannis.

I will update everyone with the game schedule and if any further Saturday practices may take place but I just wanted to push out the update on the weekday practices. Stay tuned for more information.

Just to give all parents an update from a coaches meeting held on Thursday April 1st.

  • Please continue to follow Mass public health guidelines while attending scheduled events. Masks still must be worn outdoors in public spaces and parents and families should be spread out as best as possible. This will help keep everyone safe and minimize complaints that may affect our ability to play baseball.
  • Volunteers are needed! The league fully depends on volunteers to continue it's operation. Whether it's a position on the board or volunteering with the snack stand or assisting with field maintenance the help is always welcome.
  • The field cleanup is on Saturday April 10th as previously mentioned. The expectation is that a guardian of each player should be there to assist with this project; this year it will be limited to the entire property of Provencher Field (2 ball fields and the surrounding grounds). Guardians are asked to leave their children at home so the work can be completed in a more efficient and timely manner. Any professional landscape assistance is always appreciated.
  • Parking within the Provencher field complex is permitted, but limited, within the fence line of the grounds; The abutting condo complex parking lot is for residents of that building only. There is an additional dirt parking area behind the paved lot of the Condo property where ballfield parking is allowed. Please respect the residents of the Condo building as they will not hesitate to report unauthorized motor vehicles.
  • The water has not yet been turned on for the bathrooms. There are two portable outhouses on location for use until the water is up and running.
  • Uniforms will be ordered next week. Please ensure you sized your child correctly; so we will not have them for this weekend.
  • Some teams are still looking for team sponsorships and additional sponsorships may be available. If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring a team or in any other capacity please reach out to Melanie Desley at  . Thank you to Jay and Bianca Frazier of Platinum Auto for their sponsorship of my A team, the Rockies.
  • A reminder that all equipment this year is to be provided by each player including: baseball glove, baseball bat, batting helmet, water bottle and a mask. If any families have difficulty with these items reach out to me.
  • Tomorrow's practice and meet & greet will be an informal team workout and practice and an opportunity for everyone to get to meet one another. Future practices and games have not yet been determined; games will be on Saturdays and as of now and according to my schedule the best days to practice would be Tuesday and/or Thursday but once we get the practice schedule set I will update everyone. I anticipate 1 practice per week for my A team and 1-2 practices per week for my AA team.
  • This is my first year coaching (I am coaching both A & AA teams); if there are any other parents that are willing or able to assist me it would be greatly appreciated and will help the practices and games run smoother. Please let me know if you are able or willing to assist. The league does require a background check of any official assistant coaches.
  • The weather is looking good for tomorrow, however it may be cold in the morning for my Rockies (A) team so please dress appropriately.

See you tomorrow and do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.
